Framework for Integrated Management Systems

Use our Plain English Framework to organize your management activities into a single
Integrated Management System
. Use it to combine multiple management systems into a
single integrated system, a system that will be able adapt to future updates and changes.

The following diagram provides an overview of our Integrated Management System (IMS)
Framework. The seven ovals represent the seven management processes that make up
any Integrated Management System. They are carried out more-or-less simultaneously
and continuously. The dots in the center represent the elements that make up an IMS.
These elements include things like policies, procedures, programs, practices, plans,
objectives, rules, roles, responsibilities, relationships, contracts, agreements,
documents, records, methods, techniques, technologies, and equipment,
in addition to all the various resources that support these elements.

For detail, see our Framework for Integrated Management Systems.
